Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Lexxio and Lexxio Verbs (together, “the app”) and this website. By using either, you agree to them.
The service
Lexxio is a reading app that lets you translate, listen to, and study real books and articles in a target language. Lexxio Verbs is a companion verb-conjugation app. Both are provided “as is,” and we’re actively improving them.
Accounts
Some features (cross-device sync, subscriptions) require an account. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for anything that happens under your account.
Subscriptions & purchases
- Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on the web, through Apple’s In-App Purchase system on iOS, or through Google Play Billing on Android, depending on where you subscribe.
- Lexxio Verbs is offered as a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancel anytime from your Stripe billing portal, your Apple ID subscription settings, or your Google Play subscription settings, depending on where you subscribed; you’ll keep access through the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are handled by Stripe, Apple, or Google according to their own policies. We’re happy to help if something went wrong — email us.
Content you bring in
You can import your own EPUBs and articles. You’re responsible for making sure you have the legal right to read, translate, and store anything you import. Lexxio also gives you access to a free library of public domain books; that content belongs to the public domain and isn’t owned or claimed by Lexxio.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Lexxio to break the law, infringe someone else’s rights, abuse or overload our infrastructure, or reverse-engineer the app beyond what’s legally permitted.
Intellectual property
The Lexxio app, website, and branding are owned by us. Your books, notes, and vocabulary lists remain yours.
Disclaimers
Translations, pronunciations, and grammar explanations are generated to help you learn a language — they’re not guaranteed to be perfect, and shouldn’t be relied on for legal, medical, or professional translation needs.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Lexxio isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using Lexxio and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We’ll update the date below when we do, and flag material changes on this site.
