Exporting words to Anki

Export your saved words as an Anki deck file (.apkg) and import it into Anki directly, from desktop.

Overview

If you already study in Anki, you can take your Lexxio vocabulary with you. Export builds a real Anki deck file you import directly, no third-party conversion needed.

Desktop only

This feature is available on desktop. It isn't available on mobile.

What you get

Exporting produces a standard Anki deck file (.apkg). Import it into Anki like any other deck.

Each card has:

  • Front: the word, plus its pronunciation.
  • Back: the English meaning, plus an example sentence.

It's a one-time snapshot

Export captures your saved words as they are at that moment. It isn't an ongoing sync with Anki. If you save more words later, or update a word's status in Vocab, none of that carries over automatically. Export again to get a fresh deck with your current list.

For how words get saved and reviewed inside Lexxio itself, see Reviewing saved words.
