The head of NASA praised the progress Vanta Aerospace is making after last month’s launch failure. “We’ve got time into 2027 before we start getting nervous,” he told reporters on Wednesday.
The company has poured significant resources into clearing its launch pad since its Helios-1 rocket exploded there in late May. Officials say the response has been almost more than impressive.
NASA has a real stake in Vanta Aerospace’s return to flight, which its Mk. 1 lunar lander depends on for dozens of cargo missions.
